Peregrine Falcons

I was introduced to Peregrines (Falco peregrinus) early in 2008 by my ornithological friend Richard Pither and we were able to observe a pair raising 3 chicks. At the same location in 2009 a pair (probably the same birds) produced 4 young. Although the location is not good for photography, I have been able to get some reasonable shots and, more importantly, have enjoyed watching the Peregrines in action – fascinating and awesome birds!

Red Kites

These were photographed during the daily feeding at Gigrin Farm, Rhayader, Wales (every day at 3pm - 2pm in winter) in October 2008
